One Room Challenge Spring 2022
I was a little hesitant to sign up for the One Room Challenge again because of all the “mom life” things going on. Then I said what the heck, there’s always something that’s going to be going on! With that being said, I tossed my hair and said, “Self, let’s do it again!”

Le Sanctuary

Since the mom life is a lifetime contract (let me add, a contract that I wholeheartedly love), I decided I needed an oasis of sorts. One of the most underutilized spots in our home is the dining room. To be honest, I have no clue if this should be considered a dining room given how small it is. Maybe it was meant to be a sitting area because I just could not see me placing a large dining table in here -and still needing chairs too! Good grief, it would be tight!
Back to it…
I want to create an area where I can come to read, meditate, sit and/or just be. In the past, I’ve found my daughter sitting up here with her iPad just relaxing for hours. I know it’s truly meant to be an area for calm and tranquility when my teenybopper chooses this as her second favorite spot to hang in the house. Can you guess her first favorite? The plan…
Other than actually finishing Lé Sanctuary within the 8-week challenge, here’s what else I’m hoping to see come about:

Repurpose the bathroom vanity that was painted during the Fall ORC (see that finale HERE)

Hang pendant light (still need to find and purchase)

Paint… how do I keep getting myself in these painting situationships (le sigh) 😔

Add a couple of decorative shelves

Build window seat (this will be a first as well as using my Kreg Pocket Hole Jig)
